VUB, situated in the heart of the bustling city of Brussels, recently played host to ORIGIN’s consortium meeting. The meeting kicked off with a warm welcome and reconnection of ORIGIN partners. Work package teams presented their findings and latest advancements, which was met with lively discussions and the sharing of insights.
This was followed by a tour around VUB’s impressive B-Phot Photonics research and innovation institute, where the ORIGIN sensors were developed and fabricated. Housing state of the art advanced photonics technologies and platforms, ORIGIN researchers observed demonstrations of cutting-edge machinery and learned about some of the many exciting industry collaborations that are ongoing within the insitute.
There was also plenty of time for good food, chats, and optimism for the months ahead.
